Macahl Animal Health is a family-owned company founded in 2006 by Anthony and John Mackle, with a clear focus on improving hydration support for dogs and cats during periods of gastrointestinal upset and recovery.

In 2008, this vision led to the launch of Oralade, a brand that introduced a new approach to oral rehydration for the veterinary sector — one designed specifically around how pets drink, absorb fluids and recover.

Working alongside Dutch chemist Simon Van Dalsem, whose background spans pet nutrition, innovative product development and human isotonic sports drinks, the team developed the first isotonic hydration drink for dogs and cats. Made with purified water, simple glucose, essential nutrients and a highly palatable natural chicken flavour, Oralade® was formulated without preservatives.

Today, Oralade® is distributed in over 60 countries worldwide and continues to grow each year. At Macahl Animal Health, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of quality, service and support.
